The Origin

A Story That Began in 1977

Kali Dham Guest House was established in 1977 and named after Late Shri Kalidas Dutta by his grandson Late Shri Tarak Nath Dutta — the founder of this beloved institution.

What started as a humble guest house near the shores of Puri grew into a trusted home for thousands of families from across India, now spanning four generations of the Dutta family. The property was later renovated and expanded by Late Shri Pratap Chandra Dutta, who added more rooms and modern amenities.

After his sad demise, his son Rajib Dutta now proudly carries forward this remarkable family legacy — ensuring every guest feels the same warmth and care that has defined Kali Dham for nearly five decades.

Today, Kali Dham Guest House stands as a proud G+3 modern building in Gour Bat Sahi, Puri — one of the most sought-after locations for beach-side accommodation.

With 37 well-maintained rooms — 11 air-conditioned, 22 Non-AC Double Bedrooms, and 4 Non-AC Triple Bedrooms — we cater to every guest's need and budget. All rooms feature vitrified tiles, attached bathrooms with western commodes, LED televisions, Aquaguard drinking water, and Free WiFi.

22 rooms come with an attached kitchen. A separate kitchen and dining facility is also available for groups and large families. Sea views are available from the 2nd floor (partial) and the 3rd floor (clear panoramic views of the Bay of Bengal).
